I have hands-on experience, and have also led team initiatives around research, interaction design, and usability testing. I have worked on projects across different domains, but my specialisation is on finance, Gen AI, and insurance.
Senior Product Designer (Aug 2021 - Present)
Oliver Wyman
Oliver Wyman is a management & strategy consulting firm with offices in 70 cities around the world. I am in a client-facing role, and I get called to lead the UX for projects that require a digital component in the business strategy. Here are some of my favourite contributions:
Dramatically reduced the time it took to complete a client’s customer buying journey from 12 days down to 11 minutes by mapping out the entire customer journey and carefully optimising every touchpoint
Helped a client’s procurement team estimate costs more accurately by designing a platform that gives them all the data they need to do their estimates, including sensitivity analysis, using existing historical data
Stepped-up as the Global Comms Lead for our Inclusion & Diversity ERG, substantially increasing membership count by curating content, timing communications well, and boosting visibility on global initiatives
Product Designer (Feb 2020 - Aug 2021)
DBS Bank
I was part of the Enterprise UX team at DBS. I worked with stakeholders from Treasury & Markets (T&M), helping them craft trading and investment applications used by traders and relationship managers. This role required me to lead 2-3 UX projects simultaneously. My key contributions were:
Helped Relationship Managers save time by identifying all touchpoints used in their end-to-end bonds workflow, and designing a platform that provides everything they need in one place
Decreased interruptions and repetitive low value work for the dealing desk staff by designing a platform that automates document generation, pricing, and yield computation
Enabled Sales to act on fresh information by designing a feature that allows Analysts to quickly push out recommendations based on their forecasts and economic outlook into the sales platform
Senior UX Designer (May 2012 - Jan 2020)
Quadmark is a consulting firm with their HQ in the UK, and with offices across Asia, EMEA and Americas. Some clients include Adidas, Estee Lauder Companies, and Great Eastern Life.
I was part of the Singapore office which specialised in digital transformation. In my role, I planned and executed UX research initiatives, facilitated design sprints, led projects, and mentored junior designers. The following were my best contributions:
Conceptualised and designed an app that spread the use of Lean Construction for Lendlease, by identifying critical pain points through discovery workshops, and meticulous synthesis of user interview data
Designed an award-winning* health and wellness app for GE, by conducting multiple iterations of ideation workshops, prototyping, and testing, improving the offering and experience based on user inputs
